What is a hybrid General Meeting?
A hybrid General Meeting combines an in-person meeting with remote meeting participants joining via a PC, tablet or mobile phone. Hybrid General Meetings offer organisations greater flexibility for AGMs, EGMs and SGMs to go ahead, ensuring the in-person quorum can be reached with wider participation remotely.
What’s the difference between a virtual and hybrid General Meeting?
A virtual meeting takes place when everyone joins remotely via a webinar link. A hybrid meeting allows an in-person General Meeting to take place, whilst also allowing wider participants to join virtually.
How does voting work at a hybrid General Meeting?
Depending on your requirements, members can vote in advance either via post/online or by phone, or they can nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf. Alternatively, you can choose to have an ‘on the day’ voting process with in-person members and virtual participants voting online at the same time. Voting can open and close according to your agenda, or you can allow voting at leisure within a predefined timeframe, which can close before, during the meeting or at a set time after your hybrid General Meeting closes.
