Mi-Voice used to conduct first ever online Belize Youth Council Elections
Mi-Voice has just completed the Belize Department of Youth Services first National District Youth Council Elections.
In total 6 Districts ran online ballots to appoint representatives to the position of President, Vice President, Public Relations Officer, Treasurer and Secretary.
Mi-Voice created the online ballots on the Department’s behalf with local polling stations set up to record the votes through online terminals.
Voting in the elections was high with turnout exceeding 70% on average across the 6 districts, with the Belize District registering the highest number of votes cast with an excellent 91% of votes registered.
Nomar Bembridge from Belize’s Youth Service had the following to say:
“The first ever online Youth elections for the establishment of the Belize Youth Council was a tremendous success. Using the services of Mi-Voice was instrumental in the outcome of the election for the Department of Youth Services and also created History for our country.”
“Mi-Voice’s very first elections were for the United Kingdom Youth Parliament so it gives us great pleasure to be involved in Belize’s first youth online youth elections and for them to have been such a success.”
