Informing citizens – outbound messaging service
Customers want to be kept informed. The difficulty for organisations is knowing what they want to be kept informed on, how frequently and by what method.
Organisations want to be able to notify customers on a wide variety of matters, for instance reminders about an appointment or payment, an up and coming event or even a job vacancy.
Mi-Voice Communication is an application that provides a mechanism to meet the requirements of both the customer and the organisation in keeping everybody up to date. The application operates as a notification engine combining data from an organisation's content and customer relationship systems and then notifying the customer when specific parameters are met.
Through a web interface customers can select the type of content they are interested in receiving, how frequently they wish to receive it and in what format (SMS or e-mail). Likewise, employees of the organisation can set-up specific rules to notify customers of:
- Appointments
- Events
- Payments
- Job vacancies
- Applications
- Emergencies (i.e. school closures)
Benefits of the Mi-Voice Communication module include improved:
- Communication between Council and Customer
- Customer perception of organisation
- Customer can select topics of personal interest
- Customer can select when and how they receive results
- Operational efficiencies with regard to communication from the
Organisation to the Customer, including:
- Reduction in missed appointments (DNAs)
- Reduced administration costs (postage and manpower)
- Reduction in length of time taken to make payments
- Higher attendances at organisational events
